This is where the conference will take place

The Falun Conservatory of Music will be the host school for the 39th international ESTA- conference. The conservatory was established in 1968 and recently celebrated its 40th anniversary. The school has a solid position in Swedish music life after having delivered young talents to music colleges and academies for four decades. The school is also internationally recognized. At present, the number of students is around 90, and training in all symphonic instruments, as well as in piano, song, guitar, organ, recorder and accordion, is provided.

The conservatory is an upper secondary school that also provides supplementary training. It offers programs and courses within

  • classical music
  • folk music
  • jazz
  • dance with emphasis on folk dance

Some of the activities for the ESTA-conference will take place at the school, whereas other will be located in Kristinehallen, a concert hall located less than 100 meters from the school.

The Falun Conservatory of Music is housed in a charming Art Noveau building from the beginning of the 20th century. The school has a comprehensive collection of instruments, including new grand pianos, a harpsichord and a brand new section of percussion instruments.
